Who listened and counseled me

You were truly a 'counselor'
So dear to my heart
Now that you are going away
I find it so difficult to part.
I valued your opinions
And the way you showed me light.
I found you like a lighthouse in the seas
Your company I truly liked.
Now that you are going
I find myself in so much pain
My heart is so heavy
And from my eyes the tears rain.
I do not want to leave you
But I know you have to go.
In your search for the better, always.
I find so difficult to bid farewell.

I found this poem to be very touching and a great way to describe how you will eventually have to let go of a sister while she moves on, but you don't have to worry she will always keep in touch. That is what i love about the Alumnae Association. Its the next step after a coligent, and from there you can still 'counsel' the old and new ladies of the chapter.
The Alumnae Association plans events with the active chapter, Counsels them through thick and thin, and helps them through their every day frustrations along with the complications.
We are a group of Women who will not let go of the commitment that we made when we were inducted into the Theta Phi Alpha Faternity. "once a sister always a sister" is what we always say.
